1983 Centennial Article: On the occasion of the 100 years anniversary of the founding of UT, “Discovery” Magazine (Discovery Magazine,
Research and Scholarship at the University of Texas at Austin, Centennial Issue
, Vol. 7, No. 3, 1983) devoted an issue to the history of the University. Professor Claude W. Horton wrote an article about UT Physics history. Several other articles in the magazine relate to physics and physics faculty.
Century of Physics in Texas: Paper Celebrating a Century of Physics in Texas by John David Gavenda presented at the meeting of the Texas Sections of the American Physical Society and the American Association of Physics Teachers in Austin, Texas, on October 29, 1999.
1969 Scientific Research Magazine Article: : Physics at Texas U.: A rapid and remarkable success. Article describing the major advancements that had occurred over the previous seven years under the leadership of Chair Harold P. Hanson.
