Over the years, alumni, faculty and friends of the department have contributed to the support of the Physics Department and its mission. They have done so in many ways. You will find listed here scholarships that honor faculty, students, and their family. This financial supports continues to help students achieve their academic and career goals. Many would be unable to complete their studies in a timely manner without this support. Listed also are endowed chairs, lectureships and fellowship, again many were established to honor faculty and to support the teaching and research mission of the department. Others have donated unrestricted funds to be used at the discretion of the department to support important activities, not in the department’s budget. These funds are, for example, often the difference between a student presenting a paper at a meeting or staying home. They are also the source of funds to leverage a new program. We hope that, after reviewing this list, you too will be inspired to honor and support your department. We have provided here a link to a simple form and contact information that will enable you to contribute.
